The company
GIMAR was first established in 1966 and now, more than 50 years on, it is an international leader in the production of wine making and wine storage systems.
Its story began with the production of fiberglass tanks. It was in 1967 that GIMAR invented and patented its “Semprepieni” (Always-full) tanks with a floating lid that were soon in widespread use around the world, and are still being used in wineries everywhere today.
The firm stood out for its continuous technological advances, making a name for itself in the production of patented stainless steel tanks and wine-making systems, sectors in which GIMAR is an industry- leading name. Ever since it started, GIMAR has always succeeded in meeting the specific needs of wineries in a constantly expanding and evolving market. Nowadays it designs ad hoc solutions for wine makers large and small.
Since 2012, Gimar has been a part of the Della Toffola Group, a world leader in the wine making sector. It completes the Group’s offer with its own products and can rely on a well-established sales and after-sales network that operates in all five continents.
